Transactional Analysis (TA) is a widely recognised form of modern psychology designed to promote personal growth and change by considering the ways in which we communicate and relate to one another
Transactional Analysis (TA) is based on the theory that everyone has three ‘ego-states’: parent, adult and child. Ego-states are your entire system of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours from which you interact with others, and make sense of happenings in your life. The main aim of TA Therapy is to increase your sense of autonomy and personal power by developing three core capacities: spontaneity, awareness and intimacy. This course will enable you to study and understand your personality in-depth, to learn how you’ve been ‘shaped’ since childhood; ultimately freeing you from things that might be holding you back in life. The course will equip you to find more creative solutions to difficulties, getting you out of life (and relationship) ‘ruts’.
Although it is commonly recognised as a brief and solution-focused approach, TA is also an effective long-term, in-depth therapy. TA therapy is very versatile and can be used to make important positive changes in wide-ranging areas of your life, from personal relationships to your professional or academic performance.
One of the great things about TA is you’ll intuitively understand the concepts very quickly, the simplicity of the terminology used makes this therapy very accessible. You’ll find applying the learning a straightforward way to think about, and construct, tangible, positive life improvements that leave you feeling more masterful of your own destiny!
